“We hadn’t planned on going out the morning of our last day, but we decided late the night before to go for a few hours before our 20hr trip home. I’m grateful we went since I was able to bring back such a beautiful bird that I don’t expect to see back home. Being from Ohio, I can’t recall ever having waterfowl nearly land in my lap like they did that morning. I was so amazed at one point watching as hundreds of birds fly overhead touching down at my feet no more than six inches away that I forgot why I was there!”
